Hillend Alpacas has been up and running for over ten years. I started with three alpacas imported from Chile, and since then I have built up the herd to around 20 breeding huacaya females; the ideal size to ensure that I am familiar with each alpaca’s personality, that they have all been handled, and that costs are kept reasonable. This means that Hillend Alpacas are perfect for anyone starting a small herd of their own, or to integrate into your existing herd.
We have a carefully researched breeding programme, using top quality sires to ensure both an excellent fleece and an equable temperament. As well as their value as breeding alpacas, and for their exceptional fleece, the males make excellent pets, lamb guards, hen guards, companions to horses, and lawnmowers!
We are based at the foot of the Mendip Hills, close to Bath & West Showground at Shepton Mallett.
